Australia-Wide Service

We serve manufacturers and warehouses across Australia with reliable collection and processing — from major metro centres to regional operations.

Zero Landfill Commitment

100% of the PET strapping we collect is recycled. No shortcuts, no landfill diversion — just a closed-loop process that delivers real environmental outcomes.

How It Works

A straightforward three-step process designed around your operations.

01

Collect

We arrange collection of your PET strapping waste directly from your facility. No sorting required on your end.

02

Process

Strapping is sorted, cleaned, and shredded at our certified processing facility using industry-standard recycling equipment.

03

Recycle

Granulated PET flake is transported to our chemical recycling partner for processing via methanolysis, producing virgin-equivalent PET resin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about recycling your PET strapping waste with StrapCycle.

What types of strapping does StrapCycle accept?

We currently accept PET (polyester) strapping in all forms — used banding, off-cuts, rejected rolls, and loose strapping from unpacking operations. We are expanding our collections to include PP (polypropylene) strapping — contact us to register your interest or discuss your material stream.

How does the collection process work?

Once you submit an enquiry, our team will assess your volume and location and arrange a collection schedule that suits your operation. We handle all logistics — you simply accumulate your strapping waste and we collect it directly from your facility.

Is there a minimum volume requirement?

We work with businesses generating as little as a few hundred kilograms per month through to several tonnes. Get in touch with your estimated monthly volume and we'll confirm whether we can service your site.

What is chemical recycling and why does it matter?

Chemical recycling (via methanolysis) breaks PET down to its molecular building blocks, producing virgin-equivalent PET resin. Unlike mechanical recycling, this process can handle contaminated or mixed-colour strapping and produces a higher-quality output that re-enters the supply chain as new material.

Do you provide recycling certificates for ESG reporting?

Yes. We provide chain-of-custody documentation and recycling certificates for every collection. These are suitable for use in sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and supply chain audits.

Do you service regional and rural locations?

Yes — we service manufacturers and warehouses across Australia, including regional areas. Collection frequency and logistics may vary depending on your location and volume. Submit an enquiry and we'll confirm serviceability for your site.

Is there a cost to use StrapCycle's service?

Pricing depends on your volume, location, and collection frequency. While we don't offer rebates, higher volumes allow us to offset collection costs — meaning larger generators benefit from more competitive pricing. Contact us for a tailored quote based on your operation.

How is StrapCycle different from general plastic recyclers?

StrapCycle specialises exclusively in PET strapping — we're not a general waste contractor. Our process is purpose-built for this material stream, which means better outcomes, cleaner material, and more reliable service than a general recycler who handles strapping as a secondary stream.

Ready to recycle your strapping waste?

Whether you generate a few hundred kilograms or several tonnes per month, we have a solution that fits your operation. Submit an enquiry and our team will be in touch within one business day.
